Motivation. I set out to create something special for a 9-year-old friend—a system that brings original fairy tales to life through both words and pictures. This project combines the storytelling capabilities of Claude, an AI language model, with FLUX’s artistic prowess to create enchanting illustrated stories.

The goal was simple yet meaningful: to create personalized fairy tales for a young girl in Siberia. Each story needed to be not just engaging in its narrative, but also visually consistent. One of the most significant hurdles was ensuring that characters looked the same from one illustration to the next.

Implementation

At the heart of the system lies Claude, an AI model that crafts original fairy tales based on a simple user prompt. Each story is tailored to be:

• Age-appropriate for young readers
• Rich in imaginative elements
• Structured with clear narrative arcs
• Detailed enough to support vivid illustrations

I used FLUX to add visuals. Maintaining consistency across illustrations presented an interesting challenge. Through Claude + prompt engineering, I ensured that:

• Characters maintain consistent appearances throughout the story
• Art style remains uniform across all illustrations
• Visual elements complement the story’s tone and atmosphere
• Each illustration captures key moments in the narrative
